Cherokee Identity

The use of the term "wanna be" is wielded by some Cherokee people now the way Americans use the n word describing African Americans. It's use is meant to be disrespectful and hurtful. This behavior goes againt the teachings given to us by the creator, no not the Dawes Commision, but Unetlvnvhi, the one who provided everything.

writing

Well, I'm feeling a bit more confident about writing, a professor recently told me that a paper I wrote for a scholarship was good, I said "really" giving her an opportunity to take back her words but she said it was good and written from the heart. This was all I needed to start blogging.
Why do I want to blog, I feel a need offer a Cherokee perspective on issues that affect the masses. Native people are not included in polls or asked to give expert opinion on the news channels and I have been concerned with the direction our nation is moving in; national and tribe.
